4th Women Grand Prix Kazan : The Final Round

From June 9 to 23, 2012 Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan was host to the FIDE Women's Grand Prix, part of a series of elite events organised by FIDE and Global chess. there will be six tournaments over two years in various countries around the world. The wnner will get 6500 Euros and the overall winner will get a further 15000 Euros.
The 4th stage FIDE Women Grand Prix officially came to a close in Xazan on 22nd June 2012. After 11 rounds Sloverian Player Anna Muzychuk and Indian Player Humpy Koneru became winners of the championship.

 This was the 4th Women Grand Prix out of a series of six tournament. The results of first three tournament are,

Humpy and Muzychuk were the only unbeaten players in the tournament and both had a4 wins and 7 draws each for a total of 7 1/2 points. Polagar leads the Women's world ratings at 2709, while the current world champion Hou Yifan is second at 2623, Muzychuk in the third place 2589 and Humpy was fourth at 2589.
